Conditions of membership

ARTICLE 5 : CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

5.1 Nature of the activity

A company seeking membership of the Association must be an industrial, artisanal or artistic company.   

A physical person or a company seeking membership of the Association must carry out an activity of extraction and / or transformation of Burgundy limestone. 

The physical person or company seeking membership of the Association must carry out a specialized activity in the field of French natural stone.  

A company involved in the restoration of historical buildings proving an annual usage of Burgundy limestone.

 

5.2. Locality of the activity

The person or company seeking membership of the Association must have its registered office in the geographical zone defined by the 4 departments of the region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté : that is  : Côte d'Or (21), Nièvre (58), Saône et Loire (71) et Yonne (89).

However it will be possible for companies installed in Burgundy and belonging to a group of companies having its registered head office outside 

Expert members may have their head office located outside the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Region if they meet the conditions set out in paragraph 6.5. 

Natural stone quarries supplying blocks of ornamental stone (excluding aggregates) located in the geographical area delimited in this article, having their head office outside the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, can be an active operating member only for the site established in the geographical area of the IG Pierre de Bourgogne.

 

 

 

The conditions of membership of the Association Pierre de Bourgogne are specified in the new statutes adopted during the Extraordinary General Assembly on 16 June 2023.
